Your date of birth
The date of birth you enter on this reading page is used for the calculation only inside your own browser. It is never sent to Hōseki Goyomi’s servers or to any other service, and it is not stored. When you close or reload the page, the result disappears. (For the daily fortune calendar ordered through our note articles, see “Ordering the personal daily fortune calendar” below.)
Ordering the personal daily fortune calendar
For the calendar ordered through our articles on note (a Japanese publishing platform), we receive the passcode, name (or nickname), email address and date of birth entered in the order form (Google Forms).
We use this information only to create your calendar and deliver it by email, and to check that deliveries to the same email address do not overlap. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we never share it with or sell it to third parties.
The information is stored in a Google spreadsheet managed by Hōseki Goyomi. Emails are sent through the email delivery service Resend (Resend, Inc.); to send them, your email address and the content of the email pass through Resend.

Analytics
To understand how the site is used and to improve it, Hōseki Goyomi uses Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the number of page views, your device and browser, and your approximate region. This does not include information that identifies you personally.
When you get a reading, we send only the event that a reading took place and the names of the resulting gem, scene and rarity. When you press the button below the card, we send that it was pressed and the name of the gem. We also record whether you are using the English or the Japanese page. We never send your date of birth.
The collected information is managed under Google’s privacy policy. For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you would like to stop measurement by Google Analytics, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or disable cookies in your browser settings. For visits from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we do not use cookies for analytics.
Language
When you first open hosekigoyomi.com from outside Japan, you are taken to this English version automatically, based on your approximate location as determined by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and your browser’s language setting. If you choose a language from the link at the bottom of the page, we store that choice in a cookie in your browser so that we can show you the same language next time. This cookie contains only the language.
About the readings
Hōseki Goyomi’s readings are meant to be enjoyed as entertainment. They do not promise any effect from gems or any improvement in fortune.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy as needed. When we do, we will announce it on this page. If there is any difference between this English version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
